Jason Warren will be leading an exploratory workshop that aims to explore new ways of creating Immersive & Interactive productions. The aim of the session is to discover new methods of involving an audience in a performance in a deep & meaningful way.

 

Participants will be required to e-mail ahead with a theme, event, idea or text they’d like to explore. On attending, the group will select ideas to use from those submitted, and then split into groups of 4. The brief is to create short performances that somehow involve the audience in an active way. The performances will be presented at the end of the session, with the other groups acting as audience members. At the end, we’ll round up to chat about the new ideas we’ve found together.

 

We want to explore ideas far more involved than just “the audience can go where they like”; how do we find ways of involving them, directly and deeply, without losing the message and intent of the production?
